During the two-day event the Gumeracha Medieval Fair 2008 delivered a huge amount of fun and entertainment, including:

 

  • Knights and Viking warriors fighting tournaments in the combat “listfield” each day.

  • Performances by the Border Celts and the Ghille Mhor Broadsword Dancers.

  • Medieval archery tournaments and “Come and Try” opportunities for the public.

  • The sensuous Crescent Moon Tribal Dancers performing with the Blue Company.

  • The blacksmith, spinners & weavers, potters, and many other merchants and craft workers in the medieval village.

  • The Merchants Lane with a wide range of medieval-style arts and crafts.

  • Food and beverage purveyors offering everyday and medieval style food.

  • A host of folk musicians, strolling players and medieval entertainers.

  • Animal displays reflecting feudal society.

  • A Baronial Banquet in the Gumeracha Town Hall on the Saturday night.

  • Medieval costume parade and competition.

  • Children's entertainment- face painting, Punch & Judy, animal nursery.
