By TIMBER FRAMES OF AUSTRALIA
This magnificent structure is made of cypress pine – a highly durable and naturally termite resistant timber. It has been constructed using ancient methods of timber jointing that were at their height during medieval times. These mortise and tenon joints are wooden pegged and made by hand to a very high standard of craftsmanship. The evidence of this is seen in England and Europe where many large medieval buildings of this type are standing as strong as the day they were built some 600 years ago.
The Management Committee of the Medieval Fair would like to offer locals and businesses the opportunity to be involved with this project.
We need roof cladding & fixings, old red brick pavers, sand and cement and landscaping and plants to finish the project for the Gumeracha community. So, we are seeking expressions of interest from anyone who would like to help.
This is a chance to become involved with a really unique project and your sponsorship will be acknowledged with a plaque on the structure itself as well as details in the promotional advertorial for the proposed Opening Ceremony once it is completed.
